This is a beautiful post! Ang Lee & James Schamus’s visit to Wellesley was just what I needed to reinvigorate my desire to be a creative person/have a creative career.

ImageThis morning, Ang Lee and James Schamus came to Wellesley College for a conversation with the students. This is an event that many students have been excited and hyped about and it definitely was worth it. First of all, for those unfamiliar with these two men, here is a short introduction of each.

Ang Lee made his directorial debut in 1992 and is a critically acclaimed and internationally renowned film director, producer, and screenwriter. He has won two Academy Awards for Best Director (for Brokeback Mountain, 2006, and The Life of Pi, 2013), and his Crouching Tiger, Hidde Dragon won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2000. He has also received numerous prestigious awards from major Asian and European film festivals. Lee and Schamus have had a long-standing professional relationship since Lee’s first film, Pushing Hands.
